Common questions
How is the Money Score worked out?
Seven measures: savings rate (20 points), emergency fund (15), life cover (15), health cover (15), debt load (15), long-term investments for your age (10) and tax efficiency (10). Each uses a common personal finance benchmark.
Are the benchmarks right for everyone?
They are general rules of thumb, such as 6 months of expenses as an emergency fund and term cover of about 10 times yearly income. Your own situation may call for more or less.
